Germany, on the other hand, was heavily energy dependent on Russia. After the offset of the Russia-Ukraine War and the destruction of the Nord Stream, Germany has resorted to coal and other fossil fuels. They have also shut down their last remaining nuclear power plants. Do they believe they’ll innovate their way out of trouble? Who knows! But the figures speak the facts.
