The Geopolitics Explained Podcast - Season 3 - Israel (Part 1)

Today, Dylan begins Season 3 of the Geopolitics Explained Podcast, which will deep dive into the state of Israel's geopolitics. Part 1 of 3 explores the key historical events that have brought us to the start of the current Israel-Hamas conflict commencing on October 7th, 2023.

Many key questions arise from the exploration of the past. The most important of which, I believe, is where we consider the historic Israel-Palestine conflict to begin. Does it begin with the religious aspects of Judaism and Islam, occurring many centuries ago? Perhaps the purchases of territory by the Ottomans and British starting in the late 19th century in Palestine is a potential starting point. Or what of the establishment of the Israeli state in 1948? Each period has routes that stretch and intertwine to the present-day situation, and so it's a relevant topic to explore.
