Today, Dylan discusses the Memorandum of Understanding between Ethiopia and Somaliland. As part of the deal, Ethiopia will receive ocean access through the Port of Berbera in Somaliland. In return, Ethiopia will give a stake in Ethiopia Airlines to Somaliland, but more importantly will recognise Somaliland, as the first country to do so. This will have wider ramifications around the Horn of Africa and further afield.

Clarifications
The military junta in Somalia arose in 1969, but it wasn't until 1981 that the Somaliland War of Independence began.
The Somaliland Declaration of Independence was signed by Somaliland in 1991 and began their de-facto territory.
At 7:57, the audio should continue to say that "the new state of Khatumo being recognised by Somalia is a blow to Somaliland since the claims by Khatumo and Somaliland overlap.
