Thoughts of the Week
· Innovation – I had a thought about innovation. The printing press enabled the transmission of information at a speed never seen before. This reduced the effort to transfer information. The steam engine reduced the effort required to transfer goods. The internet reduced the effort to transfer information, goods, and services. What is the next step of innovation? A way to reduce the effort required to transfer information, goods, and services even further. And would this ever reach a plateau where further invention wouldn’t decrease the effort required?
Current Reading
· The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham – I started reading all the introductions and forewords, specifically the one by Warren Buffett. They’ve definitely sold me on the book, and I know many say it’s one of the best-ever investing books out there. Hoping I enjoy it!
