Geopolitics Explained Summer Updates
Hello! I’m taking myself on a month-long holiday to different places starting next week, so I thought I’d provide an update on what will be happening with Geopolitics Explained, and my second newsletter, Something Greater, while I’m away.
I’ll be travelling down to London for a few days, before heading to the Lake District next week and into the following week. Then I head for a multi-week trip travelling around France, Switzerland, Germany, and Belgium.
Ensure you subscribe on Substack. I can schedule posts here and communicate through the Substack app. My content on other apps will reduce, so to ensure you don’t miss anything, this is the place to be!
Geopolitics Explained
Firstly, I won’t be hiding from the world for a month. And if I’m going to provide any updates on what I’m up to, it will likely be on Substack Notes. So if you want to keep up with me over the next month, I’d recommend checking there.
While I’m away, it will appear to you, the reader, that I’m not. Posts will be released every Monday and Thursday. The only thing missing will be my Short Form Saturday posts, starting this Saturday. It will return on Saturday 22nd July. I love my Short Form Saturday posts to show what I’m like outside of the geopolitics and financial markets discussion. That’s why I’ll mainly be using notes while I’m away.
The schedule for Geopolitics Explained while I’m away:
15th June: The Present: Energy – Part 3
19th June: In Gold We Trust Report – Key Takeaways
22nd June: The Present: Energy – Part 4
26th June: REPOST: Border Disputes
29th June: The Geopolitics Explained 1-Year Review
3rd July: REPOST: The Winter War
6th July: The Present: Energy – Part 5
10th July: REPOST: The Nuclear Fuel Cycle
12th July: Global Questions Series: An Introduction
13th July: Global Questions Series: Love and Geopolitics
After this, normal scheduling will resume with the Geopolitics and Markets Review every Monday, the Trends of Geopolitics posts on Thursdays, and Short Form Saturday every Saturday.
While I’m away, I still want to be posting. And since I’ve been preparing these posts for many months, I’ve had more time to think, explore, and research. With this time I decided to ponder some deeper questions. Some questions that continue to pop up in my life. The questions I always seem to keep coming back to.
I’ve called this The Global Questions Series. I believe these questions pinpoint issues surrounding life on Earth, or potential iterations of future life on Earth.
I have very little experience, but I’m very curious, and I think I’m quite good at asking the right questions.
So towards the end of my period of time away, I’ll release the first post in the Global Questions Series: Love and Geopolitics.
Something Greater
The schedule for Something Greater while I’m away:
18th June: The Sensitivity
25th June: The Hanlon’s Razor
2nd July: The Rejection
9th July: The All That We Have
16th July: The Moments
In my opinion, these are a collection of the best posts I’ve written for Something Greater. As I wrote on Substack Notes yesterday, “Is there a framework to write something beautiful?”. The post The Moments, might just be my first attempt at that. I hope you enjoy them all.
Other Updates
· The Geopolitics Explained Podcast – I’ll now release the Geopolitics Explained Podcast as a series of shorter episodes. Each country/commodity will make up one full series of the podcast. So Series 3 of the Geopolitics Explained Podcast will discuss the UK. I plan to begin releasing the 7 episodes weekly starting in August. This will add more to The Geopolitics Database on my website which we are creating in real time.
· Too Many Ideas, Not Enough Time – Another reason that a month-long break has come at a good time. I have so many ideas and not enough time to do them all. I need to consider which ones will have the biggest positive impact and will add value to my readers.
